I only wish there was a comment section.

I live only a few blocks from it on Zion rd.. Even though I'm new to the area it seems to be an epic story around this area among my neighbors about how this place was a rats nest before they added the sub-station.

I still find it sketchy to walk my dog down certain streets over here, but my general block and the ones adjacent to it seem to be pretty safe. I still have a couple neighbors who bump their stereo at 2am on a weeknight... and spend all day in the street in groups of 5-6 or more, but for the most part they're just as eye sore and an annoyance rather than producers of actual crime.

I wish the officers who patrol out of the sub-station would enforce the sound ordinances a bit more aggressively! I have cars riding past my house day and night with their stereo's set to 310% volume. I find it hard to beleive that if these ppl were receiving tickets for this that it would continue as heavily as it does. I have one guy in particular who lives behind me and a few houses down who like clockwork twice a day comes up and down my street with his stereo so loud it literally shakes my house. How does this guy not get tickets for this? This issue has me very stressed at the police over here.

I never noticed. Only windows in our house that face front are in my kids rooms. Our livingroom faces the backyard.

Thanks for the heads up.

Back in the mid 1800's, the 'TiLV' and 'Smyrna, TN' blogs were really the only popular online presence between Murfreesboro and Nashville. Once Gunner volunteered into the Confederacy and Kathy T was inducted into the Union, all heck broke loose. In an effort to find common ground and keep the peace, this forum was created in the basement of the Sam Davis house, with tunnels connecting to the Hermitage. Over the course of the next couple years, there was a huge chicken massacre, and not an egg could be found in all of Rutheford county.

Naw, just kidding. There's a very simple answer to that question. Two weeks ago the owner of this forum posted in the 'bulletin' section of Kathy T's La Vergne blog the following:

This Bulletin Board thing is getting pretty long; I could setup a BBS style forum thing where people can start topic threads and others can respond to them in a more structured fashion – makes it easier to find comments and such?
this website would need to link to it directly though for it to be worth the effort; I’ve got no problem donating my resources and time, just so long as it’s put to good use.

I’m absolutely all for that. Set up something and give me a link. I wanted to do that, but didn’t know HOW to do it. I can not be a moderator, but will most definitely linkie dink and promote it!"

Ok, I'm just trying to find out how many guys my Craig's List ad is bringing in. I love the idea of a community forum, so I'm trying to do my part to get it moving. Talking to my neighbors without actually having to invite the weird ones into my house is a win win. ;)
